This is Curt's official geek percentage. But the first thing he said was that most of it is related to his job... excuses, excuses... sure, we believe you... NOT!

Geekiness isn't a word... right????

I am a geek, I married a geek, and we have cool children. But, isn't that how it works? So by mathematical reasoning, Curt is 55% geek. So, HE is the bigger geek...

45% Geek

My Quirks!

Thanks Myra, I needed to magnify my idiosynchrasies and share them with people. Really, like you guys can't tell by just looking at me?
tag rules:

1. link the person who tagged you (Myra Johnson)
2. post these rules
3. tell about 6 unspectacular quirks of yours
4. tag 6 fellow bloggers by linking them

Alright, Here we go!

1. I have a problem with people who use words incorrectly and don't know what the word means. I hate "flustrated", "libid", "irregardless" and "Ir-re-pear-A-bel". Doesn't anyone read Word Power in Reader's Digest anymore? I am not so great with grammar myself, especially punctuation, and I will let you know. I don't use a word unless I know what it means and how to use it in a sentence. I love talking with my friend, Laurie, because she is this way also! I have learned a few things from her.

2. I love my desserts FROZEN! I am not talking just about ice cream. I love cookies, candy, truffles, candy bars, brownies and chocolate bars frozen. You name it, then I would prefer it cold. Don't watch me eat, because I bite into frozen treats. Some of my friends cringe when they see me do this. If I refuse dessert from your table (a rarity... I know), it would be because it is hot or warm. The only things dessert-wise that I love hot is Hot Chocolate and Starbuck's Hot Apple Cider. Mmmmm.

3. I stutter... Not many people are aware of this, because I go to great efforts to control it. It's very slight, but it's there. I stutter the most when I am really tired. It is not always the usual form of st-st-st-stuttering, but words mashed together. Here is an example: I want to say the word happy and glad, it will get combined into glappy... It is not on purpose, and those close to me overlook it, thankfully.

4. I love nicknames. So, Hayden is Tate, Dumpster, and Cutes McCoy. Alyssa becomes Princess, Skinny Minnie, or Lulu. Aaron is Buddy, Friend, and Slobber-dog. I would tell you Curt's, but I shouldn't swear and neither should you... Just Kidding. His name is Toots, Sweatheart (when I am mad), Honey and Turdis (another mad). Don't ask me where they came from, they just are.

5. I love to watch "Sister-Kisser" movies. I mean the kind of movies that men hate. The kind that you are nearly sobbing at the end of. I will be buying The Bucket List, because I cried at the end. I own Titanic, because I cried. If I cried, it was a great movie and it recieved a slobbery, cried on "Shellee award". If I laugh the whole way through, and then cry at the finale, it becomes own-worthy.

6. I attract mosquitos. I'm not talking just about a few. If you have seen Lilo and Stitch, there is a scene where mosquitos land on Pleakley. He thinks they tickle and then, WHAM, they start stinging him. Well, I don't think they tickle. Whenever there is an event outside, I have to bathe in bug repellent. I often have more than 5 bites on my legs if I have been outdoors during the evening. It's not a fun quirk, but it is one that I live with. Curt calls me Pleakley sometimes.

So, I hope you have learned a little more about me, and now understand me a bit better.

So, now... I tag, Marisa, Vandee, Karla, Brooke, Geniel and Missy Johnston.

Sure, pick on the Nerds.

So, Funny!

The only place this kid is a hero and they call him "Numb-nut"!

Now this kid, I LOVE. Who wouldn't crack up if they had been given this word?

Oh Baby, Baby, Baby!!!

What a week for Babies! There are three that took the "Heavenly Slip-n-slide" to earth in the last few days!

First, my Friend Kyri Rhoton let me know that she had a new niece. Yep for those of you who know Samira Rhoton-Brewer, she had a little girl, Isabella. She sent me a picture on my phone, but I don't know how to get it to my computer. You can check out her blogpage. They have pictures.

Then on Tuesday, I got a call that my bestest buddy had a little girl. Gena gave birth to Caitlyn Estelle. I saw her last night! I didn't take pics, but Cate is a real doll. I also made three Tutus for all three of her little girls, Lorelai, Mallory and now Cate. So Fun!

AND on Tuesday, my other bestest friend's(Monica) little sis, Marne had her little girl. They named her Rachel... I'll go see her soon. They may be putting pics on the Gresko Family Page too!

Where are all the boy babies????? Seriously... the girls are going to be fighting over Hayden!!!! (Hee Hee)

Babysitting the Crazy Holdens

Geniel had a Dr. Appt, so we got to babysit the Holden kids for the afternoon. (She needed a break, too). Anyway, we had all 5 of them. It started off with them crying as Geniel was leaving (I think it was for show) and as soon as she left, Aaron grabbed Paige and Alyssa snagged Piper and everyone was pretty much fine after that. I'm so glad that my kids have them as friends, they all get along so well!

The only problem that I had was that I didn't get enough sleep the night before. I have severe insomnia (notice the time of the post) and also picked up my sister and her husband at the airport at 12:30 am. I got home at 2 am and went straight to sleep. So, next time I am babysitting, I will be taking a sleeping pill the night before, especially if it is the "Holden 5"!

It's Father's Day at the Kitchen Sink.

Pinewood Derby Tinkerbell

On Wednesday night, we had our Pinewood Derby. They invited others to join in...so we did! Alyssa and I had our car "The Tink" and we loved that we were the only girls that competed.
The boys were pretty good sports about having her compete. She won a prize and Aaron won three certificates. They both won for awesome car design. Aaron's car was Bumblebee from the Transformers movie. Brother Saline's car is the awesome Mayan carving! Aaron, Nate, Bill and Tyren are our scouts for now. Joseph will soon join the group, Aaron is excited about having him in scouts.
Everytime that Aaron wasn't racing his car, Curt would take it into the corner by the piano and "fine-tune" it to make it faster. What a competitive dad... he took it a little too serious.
Hayden and Heidi had a great time chasing each other around! Everytime they see each other, they get huge grins on their faces! Here is a short photo film of the evening!
